Summer Makeover

Get edgier this summer with the latest fashion and styles

I did this makeover for Sweety keeping in mind the key looks for this summer season. Her appearence changed drastically from dab to fab and she swore by the looks that changed her attitude and understanding towards her style of dressing.

This colour blocked dress made Sweety look elegantly feminine. Its cut and colour lends a strong edge making it an ideal work wear. A black bag and a pair of heels complete the look. 
Make up
-         Apply a primer on your face and neck. Follow it with a concealer and foundation
-         Apply a nude eye shadow and finish your eyes with a black eye pencil on your lower and upper lid
-         Finish the look with a peach pink blush and nude lip-gloss

I combined this season's latest colour blocking and floral print fashion to give the her a trendy appearance. The yellow jacket lifts up the look making it a day date outfit. Orange belt and pumps complete the look.
Make up

-         Apply a nude eye shadow on your upper lids and follow with a black eye pencil on your lower and upper lid. Remember to apply a thick line on your upper lids. Finish your eyes with coats of mascara

Spend the sunny days of summer in this playful floral jumpsuit. Its dark hue with bright pink little flowers brings on the feminine side of the outfit. Orange belt and pumps add a drama to the look.

Working in Style.. Happy women's Day



Pretty Woman!

Twenty-eight-year-old Ragini Kumar celebrates Women’s Day
by getting a makeover for herself and discovered new looks that helped her understand dressing better to work.

It takes a lot to be a woman! Juggling between different roles at work and home leaves
any woman with no time absolutely for herself. But Ragini Kumar decided to celebrate Women’s Day in style by treating herself to a makeover. A Sports journalist
and Anchor by profession, she was certain to treat herself by getting in to completely
brand new work ensembles. So, I chose two perfect outfits with right accessories that
she could ideally wear to work without compromising on comfort and style. Makeup
and hair stylist, Sylvia Chen of Butterfly Pond gave Ragini’s looks an easy-to-replicate twist.

Power dressing
Very contemporary and classy, the citrus dress makes the reader look elegantly
feminine. It’s simple cut and detailing that makes it a perfect day wear to work. Teaming the dress with a white power jacket that gave the dress a very strong and clean edge. A brown laptop bag and pair of white kitten heels completes the ensemble. The look is just perfect to step out for a meeting or a formal brunch.

Get the look
Makeup
-After cleansing, toning and moisturising, apply a primer, foundation and compact
for a neat base
- Apply a mix of copper-orange and gold eye shadows for subtle eyes. Add a silver
highlighter on the corner of the eyes and finish with a black mascara
- Use a brown eye pencil on the upper eye lid and smudge for a softer edge
- Finish the look with a nude lipstick, peach blush and silver translucent sheen to
make the face glow
Hair
- Wet the hair and prep it with a blow dry lotion for a strong hold
- Air dry the hair before curling them
- Get the look with side-swept loose curls

Urbane chic
This pair of white pants and nude satin top makes the reader look very stylishly dressed
for work. The neutral tones of the ensemble make her look very feminine, soft yet apt to
wear for formal occasions. The shirt’s stylish satin knot elevates the look a notch. Perfect to wear for a formal dinner party or meeting, the ensemble gets even better with a bicolour formal bag and nude sandals.

Get the look
Make up
-Apply a primer on the face and neck for the makeup to last longer. Follow it with
a concealer and foundation to achieve an even skin tone.
- Cover your eyelid with a light brown eye shadow and line your lower eyelids
with a kohl pencil. Use a grey eye shadow on the lower lids just below the kohl line to give more definition to the eyes
Hair
-Apply a blow-dry lotion on wet hair for the style to last longer
-Crunch the curls with the help of your fingers and let your hair loose for a relaxed look

Love is in the air!


Valentine Day Looks.

With love being the flavour of the month, we had planned on a Valentine fashion shoot for February. Girl Next Door, Romantic and Sexy were the three decided upon looks for Valentine. The shoot took place at Saks Hair & Beauty Salon and their expert makeup, hair guidelines took us a great way long, and the shoot turned out to be amazing. 

Moreover, the best part about these looks is that you can try them on for any special date with your beau; it may not necessarily be a V-date.


Girl Next Door look
This look is a very relaxed yet chic one. I decided upon playing it up with a floral print dress that is quite in this season.The fresh print and neutral hue of the dress gives a very girly appearance that exudes quite a daywear look. A chunky necklace and hair accessories do the trick of making it a perfect Valentine dress that any girl can ideally wear for a casual day date. Nude wedge pumps give the outfit an easy glamour.

Makeup
- Apply a primer on the face and neck for the makeup to last longer. Follow it with a concealer and foundation to achieve and even skin tone
- Apply a mix of peach and pink eye shadow for subtle eyes. Add a silver highlighter on the corner of the eyes and finish with a brown eyeliner and mascara
- Apply a nude, pink lip colour for natural looking lips and highlight your cheekbones with a pink blush
Hair
- Get the look with side-swept lose free flowing curls
- Dramatically accessorise your hair with clips (bangles used here) by pining them neatly on either side

Look 1- Diva Glam
Spice up your V-day with this attractive sequins dress in shades of red and pink. Its appeal exudes glamour enough to help you be in the spotlight. The dress is perfect to earn you compliments and make you feel loved and admired for a night out on the town or a dinner date.

Makeup
- Apply a primer on the face and neck for the makeup to last longer. Follow it with a concealer and foundation to achieve and even skin tone
- Go dramatic with the smoky eye look. Apply a bronze gold eye shadow as the base. Then, cover the eyelids with a dark brown metallic eye shadow.
- Complete the look with a peach blusher and pink lipstick
Hair
- The bouffant in a messy style is distinctively retro. To achieve the look, backcomb your hair to give it a lift at the crown



Look 2- Diva Glam 
This sensuous dress in red is apt to set you in the mood for a candle lit dinner date. Its flowy silhouette gives you a glamorous diva look when teamed up with big hair and minimal jewellery and accessories. Makeup
- Apply a primer on the face and neck for the makeup to last longer. Follow it with a concealer and foundation to achieve and even skin tone
- Use a nude eye shadow on the eyelids. Apply eyeliner extending from the outer corner of the eyes for a winged impression
- Apply a red wine colour lipstick for sensuous looking lips. Finish your look with a red blush.
Hair
- Pull up your hair and run your fingers through it to create waves
- Isolate two sections of your hair and pull back the rest by pining it up into a bun

Look 2- Nude Romance
Subtle, young, charming and glamorous, this dress gives you all! This feminine number with silver sheen in a nude shade lends her a glamorous diva look. Going bare on the accessories is the trick to exude a perfect look for a V-night romance on a candle lit dinner date.
